Profile

The Technical University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt (THWS) was founded in 1971 at two locations with departments in Würzburg and Schweinfurt. The THWS, as one of the largest universities of applied sciences in Bavaria, provides a wide range of study and research opportunities at ten faculties with over 50 undergraduate and postgraduate degree courses and eight research institutes. With the establishment of the THWS i-Campus, German and international students are given the opportunity to complete some Bachelor’s degrees in English.

The university boasts a global network of some 170 partner universities, at which students can study abroad. The university’s International Office as well as the foreign representatives at the faculties advise and support students with stays abroad and international internships, with degree theses at companies whose headquarters are located abroad, and with questions on financing and scholarships. In the area of applied research, the Applied Research Campus supports companies and institutions in the search for suitable research partners for joint research at the THWS.
